How to Install CDK Drive on a Company PC
Use these steps for installing CDK Drive on a company-owned PC.
Prerequisites
- PC must be company-owned
- PC must be on the company network
- Install link requires active Germain email and password
- Windows 10/11 Professional or Enterprise
- 8GB RAM - 16GB RAM Preferred
- Intel i5 quad-core 7th Gen or later processer
- 256GB HDD/SSD recommended
Installing CDK Drive
- Open the "CDK Install Link" shortcut on the desktop of the PC
- If the link on the desktop is not present, or does not load, you can also click this link on the PC you're installing CDK on: CDK Install Link
- A minimum of 1GB flashdrive would be necessary to move the downloaded file over to the PC if you're downloading from a separate PC
- Next to the "WSPCP_EXE.zip" file, click the ellipses "..." to view more options, then select download.
- Open your File Explorer or Documents Folder
- Find "This PC" in the left-hand Navigation menu
- Open your C:\ drive
- The name of this drive may differ depending on the PC, but the drive letter C:\ should always be the same
- Create a Folder with the name "!Temp" without quotes
- Once Downloaded, extract the "WSPCP_EXP" folder from the zip file to the "!Temp" folder on the C:\ Drive
- You can also drag-and-drop the folder into the !Temp folder
- Open the WSPCP_EXP Folder and run the "Startinstaller.exe" file
- Please do not edit or try to run any other files in this folder
- On the CDK installer window, click "Install" and follow the remaining prompts:
- Please be advised that the PC will reboot once the CDK install has completed.

Known Issues
Issue | Reason | Solution |
CDK Install Will Fail of Bitdefender Endpoint Protection is installed prior to CDK Drive Install | CDK has not provided appropriate whitelisting rules for Bitdefender GravityZone as of September 2023 | Remove Bitdefender Endpoint Protection > Install CDK Drive > Allow Bitdefender Endpoint Protection to Reinstall on next PC Check-in with company device management. Germain IT or device administrator is required to uninstall Bitdefender Endpoint Protection |
BlueZone Install Loop | Another application is attempting to install in the background. | If this is a new PC or a recently enrolled PC, please wait for managed installs to finish before attempting to install CDK Drive. CDK Drive should be installed last. The initial installs typically take 20-30mins after first successful sign-in when following New PC Setup Setups |
Some Installs failed, such as Adobe. | Another application was installing during the CDK Drive install process. | Allow the CDK Installer to place a shortcut on the desktop to resume the install when prompted. Open the shortcut and try the installer again. It is successful when the PC advises a reboot will occur. |
