Re-Enrolling a Graduated Student in PowerSchool

At the end of each year, Grade 12 students are moved to the Graduated Students school with an "Inactive" status. This means that their student records belong to the Graduated Students school, but the students aren't actively enrolled in the school.

To Re-Enroll a Graduated Student Who is Returning to Your School

  1. Switch to the Graduated Students school in PowerSchool.

  2. Search for the graduated student using the Student Search bar. You should see the student's name pop up and display as "Inactive" (greyed out). Click on the student name to open up the student pages.

*NOTE: If for some strange reason the student is "Active" in the Graduated Students school, then they must first be Transferred Out of School from the School Enrollment menu before moving on to Step 3.
  3. Click School Enrollment > Transfers section > Transfer to Another School.
  4. Choose the school where the student will be re-enrolled and click Submit. The student will now be listed as "Inactive" at the chosen school.
  5. Switch to the chosen school in PowerSchool.
  6. Search for the student using the Student Search bar. You should see the student's name pop up and display as "Inactive" (greyed out). Click on the student name to open up the student pages.
  7. Click School Enrollment > New Enrollments section > Re-enroll in School.
  8. Fill in all required fields including the Alberta Information fields.

*Hint: the Restore class enrollments? field should be set to No since this student was a graduated student.
