Connect a Personal Email Account to HubSpot
This allows you to send one-to-one emails from the CRM, log email replies to the CRM, send sequences emails, sync calendars and install HubSpot Sales to access the sales tools in your inbox.

- Make sure you reconnect your inbox if it is disconnected at any time. (i.e. after a password change. You will get an alert if this happens.)
Audit: How to check if users are connecting their emails
Admins can visit this link and and click "Join beta" in order to get access to an additional 'Overview' of users to help make sure that users are making use of HubSpot tooling in the best way for the business.
Navigate to the view by click on:
- Settings
- Users & Teams
- Select a specific user to view
- Click on 'Overview' and scroll down to "Connected accounts" to see if their email is connected.
- You can also get a quick understanding of key user stats related to activity and login, including a visual from the audit log showcasing apps recently used by the viewed user (enterprise tiers only).
Possible Issues
IMAP
If you are trying to connect an email account to the conversations inbox, you need to connect an inbox that is hosted with either Gmail or Office 365. Conversations does not support an IMAP connection.
2FA
If your email inbox uses two-factor authentication, you'll need to enter a third-party app password. Review documentation from your email provider (e.g., Yahoo Mail or iCloud) for instructions on how to generate a third-party app password.
ActiveSync
HubSpot does not support a connection with ActiveSync, but if you use ActiveSync in your email client, connect your account using the HubSpot-Exchange connection.
Amazon SES and Amazon WorkMail
HubSpot does not support Amazon SES and Amazon WorkMail. If you experience issues with your connected email and use either of these email providers to host your email, HubSpot recommends switching email providers to Gmail or Office 365.
