How to setup Departments?

This article will display how to Add New Departments in Requisitions

Note: Only Buyers set up in Requisitions will have the ability to set up Departments

Path: Go into Requisitions > Settings > Departments > Select Add New Data


Enter the following information:

  • Department Name: * It does not have to be the same as the General Ledger Departments (15 characters max - no "&" is allowed)
  • Default Delivery Code: This information comes from Accounts Payable
  • Fund Number: This information comes from the General Ledger account
  • Department Number and Program Number (optional): This information comes from the General Ledger accounts. This also allows the users listed for this department to work only within these accounts
  • Department Supervisor Userid: Enter the department supervisor (* This will be the user that will be included in the first steps of the approval process)
  • Department Director Userid: Enter the department director (* This will be the user that will be included in the first steps of the approval process)

Select Submit
