Changing Filament Mid Print

  1. Before the Filament End reaches the Bowden Tube Fitting, Pause the print.

  2. Verify the Nozzle Temperature is set to the Material that is currently loaded.

  3. Follow the Unload Routine.

  4. When loading new a new spool, keep tension on the Filament End until it is loaded into the Extruder.

  5. Cut a 45° tip into the Filament End (Unless you are doing a HotSwap).

  6. Hold in the Extruder Idler Tension Lever.

  7. Push the Filament into the Bowden Tube Fitting.

  8. Push new Filament through the Bowden Tube until it comes out of the Nozzle.

  9. Remove excess Filament from below the Nozzle with a Spatula.
