OneLogin Single Sign-On (SSO)

What is this?

  • Single Sign On (SSO): Use a single password to log into all of your apps, saving time and increasing security.

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): An additional security measure after you successfully input your password to verify that it’s really you signing on. 2FA can use push notifications, one-time passwords or SMS. We are requiring you to set up at least one 2FA provider with the transition to OneLogin.

  • OneLogin: Our chosen SSO provider.

Why are we doing this?

  • Establish Noom as a state-of-the-art information security company.

  • Prevent employees from wasting time remembering passwords or requesting password resets.

  • Save IT, People Ops, and other departments time through automation.

The Vision

Jane starts Day 1 as a Noom employee. She receives an email invite to OneLogin, where she creates a password and sets up Two-Factor Authentication. Jane signs in, and then based on her role within Noom, Jane immediately sees a dashboard with all of the apps that are relevant to her job. She can click on an app and begin using it without any further setup, and get to work! She never needs to remember additional passwords. People Team & IT save hours of work by not having to manually set up credentials. Noomers never fall prey to another phishing scam. A Whole New World starts to play in the background.

You’ll have to supply your own music, but the rest of this is within reach!

What will this look like during the transition?

We’re conducting a staged rollout. Your team will be notified in advance when an app you use is migrated to OneLogin. The next time you login to this app, you’ll be prompted to create a OneLogin password and set up 2FA (see below for detailed instructions). Once you do, you can go to noom.onelogin.com, where you can see a dashboard with all apps that we’ve migrated. You can also install the OneLogin browser extension for convenience.

After you’ve set up your OneLogin account + 2FA, you’ll be able to sign in to more and more apps through your OneLogin dashboard with no extra setup required from your end.

For apps that aren’t on OneLogin yet, you’ll continue to sign in the same way you currently do.

We will not be migrating any coaching or support-related apps until 2021, which means that coaches and beanies will continue to need to remember separate credentials for Coach Dash/Supportland until announced otherwise.

What will this look like once complete?

You’ll use a 2-Factor Authentication code to log into OneLogin. Every few weeks, Google will ask you to reauthenticate, and you’ll need to type in your OneLogin password again.

All existing links you’re using such as c.noom.com (Calendar), m.noom.com (Gmail) and such will continue to work. Apps that currently rely on your Google account for authentication will start redirecting you to use OneLogin.
