How to Send a Case to the Judge for Warrant

This document is designed to walk you through how to send a specific case to the Judge for Warrant outside of the standard warrant process.

Open the case Dashboard.

Select Warrants – Send A Warrant to the Judge

The screen will show the type of warrant the system will send to the Judge.

Select Save to move the case to the Judge’s queue to authorize a warrant.

FAQs

Q: I get a message that says “The current next action XX does not allow a warrant” and I can’t select Save?

A: The case’s next action is not set up to allow the case to have a warrant issued. See How to Add Next Actions to the

Court Application to update the specific next action to allow warrants.

Q: The Type of Warrant is incorrect?

A: If the type shows Warrant and the case should be a Capias then there is no judgment entered on the case – See
