The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a federal tax credit available to employers as an incentive to hire individuals from certain targeted groups. AllianceHCM's WOTC service maximizes your potential tax credits by determining employees' initial eligibility and submitting an application to the appropriate state workforce agency.

Where to see a summary of your WOTC credits
From the AllPay dashboard, hover to open the Onboard menu and then select Summary.
On the Summary tab you'll see a table with your Tax Credit Summary. This is the highest level summary of your WOTC service and will let you view all companies that you have view access for. You can also expand a company to see the individual employee details and the affiliated credits with each employee.
Where to monitor the status of your WOTC credits
From the AllPay dashboard, hover to open the Onboard menu and then select Tax Credits.
On the Tax Credits tab you'll see each individual employee who has historically been submitted for WOTC for your company by AllianceHCM. You can use the filters at the top of the table to adjust your view, as well as the icons at the top right to export the data, filter it further, or adjust your table columns.
If you select an employee and look in the Tax Credits section below the table, you'll see the details about that employee. The data is automatically populated when AllianceHCM submits the employee application for the state workforce agency to review.
AllianceHCM tip: This tab may take a few seconds to load, since it's pulling in all of of your historical employee records associated with WOTC.
Where to find your WOTC tax package
AllianceHCM provides you with the finalized tax credit package each spring, and it contains all the completed forms to claim the credit on the federal tax return.
In AllPay, click on Configuration from the left menu, then hover to open Company Setup from your top navigation and select Tax Documents.
On the Tax Documents tab you will find the document entitled Tax Credit Package (5884). Download the package and provide it to your tax preparer.
