New! In-App Messenger For Orders

💡 What Is This Feature?

Your customers will have access to an in-app messenger for individual orders like they already have today for shipments.

This feature will help you centralize all the conversations you are having with your customers related to orders directly on the Logixboard platform, instead of having to rely on emails, text messages and phone calls.

This messenger will also allow messaging continuity between orders and shipments, we provided some use cases below to give you more context!

Users will also be able to opt-into notifications for order messages so they can choose to be notified when a message has been posted on an order.

💪 Use Cases

  • Users will have the ability to discuss their orders directly on the platform, where they can access all the order information they need in one place. This will reduce tedious manual tasks such as relying on many emails threads and text messages around orders.
  • Once an order is linked to a shipment, users can view the historical conversation related to that order on the shipment details page. They can also continue the conversation on the shipment details page, ensuring that context is not lost by retaining the conversation history related to the order.

👀 How Does It Look

Click your profile name and go to settings. In the Notifications tab you will now notice a box for "New Order Messages"

This notification will be turned off by default. If the user decided to opt-into "New Order messages", they will be notified when a message has been posted on an order.

When multiple orders are linked to a shipment in a short amount of time on CargoWise, the messages related to that order will be contained in their own separate boxes.

❓FAQs

  • If the shipment and order are unlinked, what will happen to the historical order conversation?
    The historical order conversation that happened before the two were linked will not be displayed in the shipment details page. It will be available in the order details page.
  • Will users know when an order get linked or unlinked from a shipment?
    Yes.
  • What happens if a shipment and order are unlinked?
    If orders get unlinked from a shipment, the user can click "view order" and that will open the order in a new window
  • What happens if a shipment and order are linked?
    There will be a note saying the shipment and order are linked. By clicking "View Previous Messages" you will be able to see the message history
