Exporting sales data from Shopify

When exporting historical sales data from Shopify it is important to follow these key steps:

From the Orders screen click 'Export'

In the 'Export orders' dialogue window follow these steps

  1. Select 'Orders by date'

  2. Choose a date range of 6 months to 1 year

  3. Select 'Plain CSV file' --*VERY IMPORTANT*--

  4. Press 'Export orders'
