Google Doc Violates Google's Terms of Service

Sometimes Google Docs get restricted by Google for being against their Terms of Service. We have reached out to Google about this and were told that Google does not provide reasons why individual documents "contain illegal content or are otherwise against Google's stated Terms of Service". These documents are locked using algorithms on Googles end.

We are not able to do anything to unlock a document. However, we often see Google unlock them on their own. There have been multiple instances where a bug on Google's end erroneously flags documents as being against their terms of service.

What we cannot do:

  • Access the Google Document, or get Google to provide anyone with access to the document

What we can do:

  • If it is a start/continue writing document, we can reset the document to contain the latest feedback or start with a blank document if we are reseting a Start Writing doc
