Reports - Report Customization

image.png

Use this tab to create custom report sets in Moneytree Plan. We realize that not all reports may be relevant to your company, so we give the option to include or exclude whatever reports you want. All custom report sets are shared. When one is created it will be available for all clients and all users in the company account of Moneytree Plan.

Various report pages do not generate if there is no relevant information. For instance, if a client has no Roth accounts and the Roth account pages are included in the report set, those Roth account pages will not generate when the report is run. Feel free to include pages that do not apply to one client, but could likely apply to several others.

Report: Use this drop-down at the top to select the reporting module you wish to create a custom report set for:

The first two boxes separate Moneytree's pre-built report sets and any existing custom report sets you have created. Report sets created by other users in the company cannot be selected here, but will be available when choosing a report to generate.

When selecting a report set from either box, the pages in that report set will appear in the Selected Pages box. From there you can choose to add or remove pages from the report set, then save the changes.

Save: Click this button to save the report as a custom report. The report will include all the pages from the Selected Pages box. When saving changes to an existing report set you will have the option to update the report set or save it as a new report set. When saving changes to a custom report set as a new custom report, a field will appear to name it.

When saving changes to a pre-built report set you will be prompted to name the report set. The exact window may differ depending on the web browser.

Delete: Click this button to delete a selected custom report set. A confirmation prompt will appear. Once confirmed a deleted report set cannot be recovered. Report sets deleted by accident must be recreated. Pre-built Example Report Sets cannot be deleted.

Report Categories: This window is used to filter the Available Report Pages by section for the selected report module.

Clicking the right double-arrow button will add all pages in the Available Report Pages box to the Selected Pages box.

Selected Pages: This window shows all pages that have been currently added to the custom report set. Add pages to this by selecting pages from the Available Report Pages window then clicking the right single-arrow button to the left, or click the right double-arrow to add all pages in the Available Report Pages window to the set. Remove page(s) from the custom report set by selecting the desired page(s) then clicking the left single-arrow button. To remove all pages and start from scratch click the left double-arrow button.

Import Custom Reports

Users moving from the desktop application TOTAL Planning Suite to Moneytree Plan can use this section to import their custom report sets from the desktop application. This is best done early in the transition. Imported custom report sets will delete any report sets that have already been created in Moneytree Plan.

To begin the imort process click the Browse button. A window will appear to locate the file with custom report set data. Custom report set data is stored in the file tpsx.mtconfig.

  • File location: C:\ProgramData\Money Tree Software\Total Planning Suite 5.0\
