Troubleshooting Splash: Event not appearing, or appearing incorrectly, on Events Calendar

Here are some steps to follow if your event or hub page isn't appearing on the university's Events Calendar, or events widget on your .edu page:

  1. Ensure that your start and end dates are correct.
  2. Ensure your Audience choices in Settings are configured correctly.
  3. If you are trying to send the event to an event feed on your .edu page, that you've selected the correct department/center name.
  4. Check that you’re using the correct tags.
  5. Make sure the page has been added to the “Published Events” hub (which is the university’s Events Calendar, if you want it to appear there).

If your page was already added to, follow these steps:

  1. Remove your page from the “Published Events” hub, unpublish your page, then hit save.
  2. Add your page to the “Published Events” hub, re-publish your page, then hit save.
  3. Head to the M&C Event Update Tool, and enter the Splash ID. This forces the Events Calendar to clear its cache and refresh. It may take a few hours for the event to display correctly.

Pro Tip: Avoid duplicating old event pages as this can sometimes cause undiagnosable issues such as event pages appearing incorrectly on the Events Calendar.
