Fun Facts
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only get delivery from one restaurant in the city, which restaurant would it be and why? Sushi from Met Market. It's supermarket in Seattle but their sushi counter is better than any restaurant I've found.
Do you have any Human or Fur kids? Oliver! My 12-year old chocolate lab
Where are you coming from? Aduro --> DocuSign --> Amazon --> Via Transportation --> Outreach --> OpenGov. I went to grad school for Nutrition and worked for a cloud-based corporate wellness company (Aduro) after graduation. That was my entrance into the tech-world and I've been lucky to have a variety of roles (content design, implementation work, program management and design, sales, and enablement) at various tech companies since.
Fun-Facts? I have spatial sequence & number form synesthesia, I'm a champion power-napper, and I've summited Mt. Baker (10,781 ft).
Favorite TV Show / Movie? Big Fish is my all-time favorite movie.
Hobbies? I'm happiest outside, being active. I'm a big reader, love podcasts, and half the fun of traveling to me is doing research before I go.
If you could have lunch with any person from the past, who would you choose? Joan Didion and James Michener, both writers I really enjoy with a talent for creative, engaging storytelling.
What was the first concert you ever attended? When I was in 6th grade I called in to the radio and won tickets to my first concert! It was Bush with the Goo Goo Dolls and No Doubt opening. A real 90's power trifecta.
If you were being introduced at a conference, what would your walk out music be? Best Worst Year by STRABE
How did you first learn of OpenGov? I worked with Kayde Givens at Outreach and when she was leaving to come here she told me, "I think I've found a really amazing company!" I started looking into it and was thrilled when she called to tell me the team was growing and there might be a spot for me.
Work Skills
What's the best way to work with you? I like to know what the intended end result or goal of a project is before I start. What are we solving for, what's missing, what's needed, what's the point - it helps me map out the big picture and start building a roadmap/ story in mind.
What would you consider yourself a SME in? I love to build simple, logical, easy-to-consume resources.
Aside from your main role at OpenGov, what other skills/side-hustles/resources do you bring to the table? Love to talk nutrition, health & wellness, traveling, books, cooking, and binge-worthy podcasts. (I realize that none of these things are really purposeful for work...)
