ZOOM MEETING - RECORDING AND UPLOADING TO YOUTUBE

RECORDING IN ZOOM

Once the meeting has begun, you can choose to either “Record on this computer” or “Record to the Cloud”

RECORD ON THIS COMPUTER

When you choose to “Record on this Computer,” your recording will be saved in your documents, within a “Zoom” folder.  The video recording will be an mp4 file.

RECORD TO THE CLOUD

When you choose “Record to the Cloud,” you will receive an email from Zoom letting you know your recording is ready. To access this file, log in to your Zoom account and go  to Recordings.  It’s important to remember that you do not have unlimited storage.

UPLOADING TO YOUTUBE

  • Sign-in to youtube at the top of the Screen.

  • Click on the videocamera icon to upload.

  • Either drag and drop your files or click on the upload icon.  Your video can be no longer than 15 minutes.

  • While your video is uploading, fill in Details (Title, Description, etc.) and choose whether or not this video is appropriate for children (required to answer).

  • Under “Visibility,” choose “Unlisted” (anyone with the link can find the video, but it will not come up in a search).  With “Private,” only people who are invited (and they must have a youtube account) can view.

  • Finally, when you click “Done,” you’ll have the option to share on a variety of social media platforms, or simply copy the video link.
