Consumption Report with Limit Parameters

This report can be used to find accounts that had more or less than a prompted amount or days of service. This report can be used to search for errors on the consumption before running a consumption report. It only takes one bad reading with a large consumption to make a report have incorrect figures. This report is summarized by 2 reports (1) billing period, total consumption, and days of service. This will include the customers info on this report and start date. The (2nd) report will summarize by service, rate, and city limit. Will also provide the total consumption & average & number of units.

Cycle number (blank for all) field is optional; however, you may enter a particular cycle or leave it blank to capture all cycles.

District (blank for all) field is optional; however, you may enter a particular district or leave it blank to capture all districts.

Account status: Select one (Active, Inactive, Both, and Final/Trans)

Service code (blank for All): field is optional; however, you may enter a metered service code for example: WT (water), EL (electric) if applicable or GA (gas) if applicable or leave it blank to capture all service codes.

Meter size code (blank for all): field is optional; however, you may enter a particular meter size code or leave it blank to capture all meter size codes. Also, the drop-down menu can be utilized for this report based on meter size. You may select one (All, Bigger, Smaller, Equal to and Include only blank meter sizes). For example: If you want a report for only ¾” meters than you will utilize the drop-down menu to select “Equal to”.

From and to billing period: This is a required field. You will enter the dates that you are needing for this report.

Consumption limit to compare with: Enter the consumption that you wish to include in this report. For example: If you want to include all meter with a consumption greater than 1. You will enter 1 here in this field. Another scenario is that you would like to include all meters less than 10,000 gallons of consumption.

Days of service to compare with: This field is optional; however, you may enter the number of days if you wanted to compare with.

Select consumption/days if: Select one (Greater than or less than). This is based on what information you entered on the consumption limit to compare with.

Compare total or by month: Select one (By month or Total)

Sort by: Select one (Account number or Name)

Here is an example of what the report will look like. In this case I selected active accounts to include all meter size codes that have a consumption greater than 1. In this report where it reads “compare total or by month” it was processed by total and sorted by account number.
