The New School's Trademark Procedures
Background
Through the licensing of the University’s Marks, we respond to a wider context of changes in our society, where many of the challenges and opportunities we face require disruptive, creative, and sustainable solutions, informed by design excellence and engaged with the general public. Additionally, we seek to achieve outcomes that evolve around the goal of democratizing design. The New School engages with licensing partners in the development of broadly-accessible, progressive, and meaningful design offerings that extend the University brand beyond the walls of the #1 design school in the US. The New School’s vision is to further democratize design, strengthen its role in everyday consumption, and empower everyone to apply creative skills to improve their world.
