Setting up and assigning LMS tracks

Objectives:

Learn how to set up an LMS track, which is a set of LMS courses that are taken in a specific order, as well as how to assign the track to specific employees and monitor their progress through the track. You can also use the mass import capability in AllPay to assign as many employees as you'd like to a specific track, which can be especially helpful for assigning tracks to large groups.


How to set up an LMS track

Click on LMS Tracks Setup from the Self Serve menu

On the LMS Tracks Setup page, click on Add New

Fill out the LMS Tracks section, then Save

In the LMS Track Needs section, click on Add

Use the LMS Track Need to select courses and then click Save

When all courses have been added, save the track

How to assign an LMS track to an employee

Once you have LMS tracks set up, you can assign them to employees.

  1. Sign into AllPay. From the dashboard, hover to open the HR menu and from the HR column choose LMS Tracks.
  2. Choose an employee by using the filters at the top of the page. Then, click on the icon for Add LMS Track.
  3. In the pop-up window titled Assign LMS Track, use the dropdown menu to select an LMS track. Then click Save.
  4. You'll see a success message once an LMS track has successfully been assigned to the employee.
  5. As the employee progresses through the track, you'll be able to watch their progress in the LMS Tracks section of the page as well as the individual courses in the track in the LMS Tracks Needs section.
  6. Certificates of completion will also be available to download in the Certificate column of the LMS Tracks section once an employee completes tracks.

From the dashboard, navigate to LMS Tracks

Select an employee and click on Add LMS Track

Select an LMS track and click Save

You'll see a success message when the track is assigned

Easily monitor their progress through the track and download a certificate of completion once it's done

Using the mass import functionality to assign LMS tracks

The mass import functionality to assign LMS tracks lets you upload a spreadsheet or similar file to make bulk track assignments with the LMS Track Helper.

  1. Navigate to the Configuration module from the left menu.
  2. Hover to open the Utilities menu and select Import.
  3. On the Import page, click on the hyperlinked text to see a Complete List of headers.
  4. On the Import Headers page, take note of the directions at the top of the page.
  5. Scroll down to the LMS Track Helpers section, and use this and the directions at the top of the page to prepare your file.
  6. When your file is ready, return to the Import page and follow the directions in the Data section to upload your file and bulk assign LMS tracks.

Navigate to Configuration

Select Import from the Utilities menu

Scroll to LMS Track Helpers

When your file is ready, use the Import page to upload the file
