Work Order Status Definitions

SUMMARY

Each Work Order Correspondence has a Status. The WORK ORDER FOREMAN keeps these statuses updated. This is a list of the statuses available and their definitions.

  • Complete - Work Order scope is 100% percent complete and walked with client. No additional labor or material PO’s are needed.
  • Closed - Work order is closed out all invoicing is complete, and we have been paid 100% by client. (Note: Only the Area Operations Director or Accounting Team should Close a Work Order).
  • In Progress - Work Order is progressing with Labor and Materials being approved to be charged.
  • Need a Walk - Work Order has been issued but scope of work is not defined, and we are waiting on client to walk the scope of work with us.
  • On Hold - Work Order is on hold per clients request and no labor or materials will be billed while in this status
  • Prefac Complete - Work Order scope of work is a stage where we cannot go any further until shutdown.
  • Waiting on SIPP - Work Order scope requires a SIPP, and we are waiting on client to provide a scheduled date for work to take place. If we have a scheduled date and are still waiting for that date, the status will still remain Waiting on SIPP. (Note: Reports are sent daily with updates on SIPPs. Only those Correspondences that have the Status Waiting on SIPP and have a Scheduled Date filled out for a SIPP will be on those reports)
  • Waiting on Others - Work Order is waiting on scaffolding, or someone or something else out of our control.
  • Open - This is the default status when the Correspondence is initially created and indicates that the foreman has not updated the correspondence yet.
  • Materials on Order - We have ordered materials and are waiting for their delivery.
