How to Change Your Voicemail Greeting and Name

When you wish to change your voicemail greeting and name, the easiest method is to use short codes. These are numbers you can dial from your phone that allow you to follow audio prompts to make the changes you require.

To Change Your Voicemail Greeting

1. Go to your phone and dial *17.
2. Enter the 5 digit extension number then #
3. Enter your voicemail password then #
1. If you do not know your password, contact Desktop Support to have it reset.
4. Follow the prompts to change your greeting.

To Change your Voicemail Name

1. Go to your phone and dial *66
2. Follow the prompts to record your name.
1. This name is the short form greeting that shows up during automated messages.

Note: If you are wanting to change your Voicemail Name and the newly recorded name is not being applied, try deleting them first before recording a new one. Contact Helpdesk if it is still not being accepted.
