Creating Custom Contact Groups in Microsoft Outlook
This guide can be followed to make personal contact groups or ECSSD Staff groups.
- Open Microsoft Outlook.
- Click on the "people" icon at the bottom of the window.
- Click New Contact Group from the top menu.
(*NOTE: Do Not click the "New Group" button to the left. It will create a new Office 365 Group which is something completely different). - Enter a Contact Group Name and click the Add Members button from the top menu.
- If you are creating a Personal Contact Group, choose From Outlook Contacts.
If you are creating a Staff Contact Group, choose From Address Book. - This may be an extra step if you are creating a Staff Contact Group. Choose Global Address List from the Address Book dropdown menu -OR- choose your School location to limit the list to your school staff.
- Then double click each contact name to add it to the Members field at the bottom of the window.
- Click OK when you have completed your selections.
- Click Save & Close from the top menu.
