Unlocking your 1Password Business Account

🧐 About

This 3 min demo video will outline the different flows that are available to unlock your 1Password Business account. This includes unlocking 1Password using an account password and your Secret Key, unlocking with SSO, or unlocking with biometrics.

Unlocking with your Identity Provider using SSO is only available for 1Password Business, and will only be an option for the user if they are scoped to unlock the 1Password Business account with SSO. Otherwise, they would be utilizing traditional unlock with account password and Secret Key.

💡 Highlights

• Unlocking 1Password with traditional unlock means that each user will receive their own Secret Key and set their own account password.
• Unlocking with an Identity Provider (SSO) means users who are scoped will need to authenticate with their IdP and link their initial application or browser. From there they will go through the Linked app and Browser enrollment process for signing in to the 1Password Business account on other applications and browsers.
• Biometrics are also available to unlock the 1Password desktop and mobile apps.
• With traditional unlock users will be prompted to enter in their account password every 2 weeks.
• With unlocking with SSO, biometrics will only be available if their admin configured to allow users to unlock with biometrics, and users will need to re-authenticate at the determined interval set in the configuration settings.
