Scan Barcode receiving is not adding the time stamp and only updating the Order status


Previously, when users utilized the “Scan Barcode” feature on the Orders screen to mark lab samples as received, the system correctly updated the order status but did not record the date and time the specimen was received.


The barcode scanning process has been enhanced to ensure accurate tracking of specimen receipt. Now, when a user selects either “Mark as Received” or “Receive and Print Label,” the system automatically records the date and time received on the corresponding lab result record.


This update provides improved traceability and documentation for specimen handling within the hospital environment. Users can now rely on both the order status and a precise timestamp for every received specimen, supporting better workflow accuracy and compliance with laboratory recordkeeping standards.
