At Guru, the health and safety of our employees, customers, event attendees, speakers, and partners will always be our top priority. Given the heightened concerns around COVID-19, and after carefully monitoring guidance from the CDC, World Health Organization, and local authorities, we have decided that canceling Empower 2020 is the right thing to do.
While we’re sad we won’t be able to connect in person at Empower this year, we’re excited to deliver all of the amazing content our speakers have prepared, and bring our community together in an entirely new way. Here are a few answers to questions you may have:
Will Empower 2020 be postponed or rescheduled for later in the year?
At this time, we do not have plans to postpone or reschedule Empower 2020, given the health and safety concerns of COVID-19.
Will registered attendees, speakers, and sponsors be refunded or reimbursed for:
Empower 2020 tickets: Guru will automatically refund registration fees to the original form of payment on 3/16/2020.
Sponsorships: Your Guru contact will reach out to you to coordinate refunds and discuss options applying your sponsorship as a credit toward Empower 2021.
Hotel: Please cancel directly with your hotel as soon as possible. Hotel rooms booked within the Empower room blocks will have no penalty for cancellations.
Airfare: Many airlines are allowing free cancellations for flights due to Coronavirus. Please call your airline directly to cancel your flight.
