Setting Up a Guru Card Request Workflow in Slack

Here's one approach using Reacji Channeler:

  1. Add Reacji Channeler to your Slack workspace

    1. Pick a Slack emoji (several options here: Guru Slack Emojis )to be used exclusively for Guru card requests e.g.:
      g-logo SM.jpg Guru-brain SM.png

  2. Use the following slash command to send any messages that receive the assigned "Guru request" reacji to a dedicated "Guru requests" channel: /reacji-channeler :assigned-emoji #assigned-channel

  3. Work with your knowledge council (or specified Authors if you don't yet have a knowledge council) to align on a process for monitoring the request channel and assigning authors to assess requests and draft/publish cards.

  4. Document the process (in a Guru card of course), and share it out (via a Knowledge Alert)!

Here's another approach we've been testing at Guru, which has been working well so far: https://app.getguru.com/card/cqapynGi/Knowledge-Submission-Process-for-the-Knowledge-Requester
