Shipment Status Bar Upgrade
🎉 What's new?
The status bar is typically the first thing you and your customers see when landing on the shipment details page.
Until now, we couldn’t distinguish when you were handling the last mile delivery of a shipment versus the times you weren’t, creating inefficiencies, confusion and possible operational overhead for you and your customers.
The Shipment Status Bar Upgrade gives you and your customers clarity by visually showing updates related to the last mile delivery of a shipment, whether handled by you or a separate transport company.
Disclaimer for your customers:
The "Gate Out" status will be removed from the platform over the course of a few weeks after the release. This means Gate Out will no longer be a notification option.
If your customer would like to opt in to receive notifications around the new transport statuses "Released For Delivery" and "Out For Delivery", they will need to navigate to their notication settings and check them.
To do this your customer must click:
Account Name -> Settings -> Notifications

- Transit status “Gate Out” has been replaced by “Out for Delivery”.
- Delivery status “Expected Delivery” is now called “Estimated Delivery”.
When final delivery is being handled by transport company:
- Delivery status “Expected Delivery” is now called “Estimated Release for Delivery”.
- Transit status “Gate Out” has been removed.
- “Delivered” status is now called “Released for Delivery” and will include the Gate Out event timestamp. This status signals that the shipment has been released from your care.

âť“FAQs
Why do I still see the Gate Out transport status?

Shipments transitioning to the 'Gate Out' transport status after the release will be replaced by "Out for Delivery" or "Released for Delivery".How are you calculating final delivery versus non-final delivery for CargoWise?
Within CargoWise, there is the Delivery Transport Company field. (Shipment > Delivery tab > Delivery Transport Company). When this field is populated, our logic will that you are handling final delivery of the shipment. When that field is left blank, our logic will be that you are not handling final delivery. What happens if I am handling final delivery of the shipment but I add the Delivery Transport Company late?
Since we will be relying on this field to signal that you are handling final delivery, the status bar will update and reflect the correct transport status, either 'Out for Delivery' or 'Delivered'.What happened to the 'Gate Out' transport status?
It has been replaced by either 'Out for Delivery' or 'Released for Delivery' depending on your role in moving the shipment"Released for Delivery"
