Avigilon - How to Login to School Cameras
Before you begin, please make sure have completed the steps outlined on this card - Avigilon Control Center - Operator Training
Note, these steps will only allow you to access cameras while at a CEC school when connected to the CEC computer network. For remote access, please see: Avigilon - Remote Access
Software Installation
Make sure that an IT staff member has installed the Avigilon Control Center software on your computer. If you need it installed, then please open a ticket!
How to Login
- Launch Avigilon Control Center application by double clicking the icon
- If you see a window like the one below, then click Cancel. You can safely ignore this!
- If this is the first tme you are logging into the system, you will see this dialog box.
- Type in the IP address of your respective school. Do not change the Base Port value.

- Enter your CEC username and password, firstname.lastname and click Login
- Note: You may get an error like this when logging in with your cec account.
- If you get this error, please wait a moment and try logging in once more. There is a bug in the software that SOMETIMES shows this error. It will be patched once a solution is available.
- Once logged in, you should see the school cameras you access to on the left of the screen. Click to expand the school's cameras.
Troubleshooting
- If you don't see the cameras you need access to or are unable to login, then please submit a ticket describing your issue to support@coloradoearlycolleges.org.
- If the cameras show a black screen when viewing them then adjust your client settings:
- Make sure your Connection Type is set to WAN (Secured) and press OK. You then need to reopen your cameras to view video!
