NEW FEATURE!! - Link Orders To Bookings

💡 What Is This Feature?

Linking orders to bookings will give your customers a way to request their existing orders be arranged for shipment.

With this feature, your customers will now have the ability to select from their existing open orders when creating a booking.

In the booking request form there will now be a new field called "Linked Orders" where your customer can find open orders and attach them to the booking.

At the end of the process we will link the order in CargoWise to the shipment file that we create in CargoWise after a booking is confirmed.

  • Your customers can easily book existing orders. All they need to do is select from open orders in the system, add them to their booking request, get options for the movement of the good and you can take it from there saving them time.

👀 How it looks

In the Booking Request form, your customers can type in the "Linked Orders" field and they will see order details pop up. Your customer can then select the orders they want for the booking.

After saving the booking request, in the shipment details it is now possible to see the "Linked Orders". If your customer clicks the order, they will be redirected to the order details page.

❓FAQs

Can a booking have more than one related order?
Yes, it is not uncommon for multiple orders to be booked together (to ship together). Users will be able to select 1+ orders when creating a booking.

Will order data automatically populate the booking form?
Not at this time.

Will booking information be available on the order?
The booking ID will be available in the Orders explorer table. Additionally, the booking ID will be available on the Orders details page and will be a direct link to the Bookings details page.

Will order information be available on the booking?
The order(s) ID will be available in the Bookings explorer table. Additionally, the order(s) ID will be available on the Bookings details page and will be a direct link to the Orders details page.

How will I see orders related to bookings in CargoWise One?
Once the booking is confirmed in Logixboard, we will create the Shipment file (S-file) within CargoWise One. We will then link the S-file to the Orders using the Job Management Links section of the S-file.
