Harassment & Discrimination Prevention Training

The New School is committed to ensuring an environment free of sexual harassment and discrimination for all members of our community. As a university that places a high value on safety and respect, we all have a responsibility to understand what constitutes discrimination and harassment, and what steps to take if we encounter such behavior on our campus. To this end, and to comply with New York City and New York State legal mandates, all New School faculty and staff are required to complete online harassment and discrimination training each year. The training will help ensure that we are aware of and sensitive to inappropriate and unacceptable behavior that has no place at our institution.

You can complete your online training on the Vector, LMS training platform using this link. Vector, LMS will also send you a separate email with a link to the training course assigned to you. Please complete the course within 30 days. You will receive email reminders every two weeks until the course has been completed. The training site includes instructions for technical support if you encounter any technical difficulties.

If you have questions about the training, please contact Rhonnie Jaus. If you have already taken a similar course on Sexual Harassment Prevention at another New York City or New York State institution for the current academic year please email a copy of your completion certificate to titleixcoordinator@newschool.edu and you will be considered exempt from this training.
