For all student account creation, please follow the instructions below to maintain student privacy and online safety (In the example we use a student named Julia Dryfuss below - see picture for example):
- For the Student Name field (1), enter the student's first name, and only the first 2 characters of their last name.
- For the Student Login Name field (2), enter the first letter of their first name + first 4 letters of their last name + your last name.
- For the password field (3), select a combination of 1 or 2 icons for the student to log in with. Please do not create actual passwords for the students.
Special instructions for classes greater than 36 students
For teachers with over 36 students in a class, you will have a secondary login. (same username and password as your primary account, but the username has a 2 at the end). You will need to use Shared Rostering to be able to see all students in your class. You must create all of your students in your 2 classes first (up to 36 in the first roster, and the remainder in the 2nd), and then you can link them by following the instructions below:
Instructions for student access
Students should go to https://www.kidsa-z.com/main/Login and enter your teacher user name (if they are on your second roster, they will need to add a 2 at the end). Example: Joel Boyko's class: jboykoecs or jboykoecs2
On the next screen, the student will need to find their username as set by you when you created them:
first letter of their first name + first 4 letters of their last name + your last name
If the student is not able to find their account, they are probably on your other student roster, so they will need to click Change Teacher, and then choose your other username (the one with a 2 at the end).
