Key Style Guide Information and Links
This card covers guidance for editing IMP videos.
- Dialect: UK English
- Use these video specifics alongside the school's writing style guidance:
- For any style points not covered in the school style guide materials, refer to:
- Editors | Emeritus | Chicago Manual of Style (CMoS) Guidelines for Emeritus Content
- Spelling: Oxford Dictionaries
- Use the Title Case Converter to confirm correct approaches to casing capitalization.
Important Notes
- Executive Education should always be in title case.
- IMP wants to avoid text-heavy video screens, so focus on concision/brevity of phrasing.
- Shutterstock images do not require owner credits.
- The disclaimer screen/text at the end of the videos has come directly from the school and are to be used as is, so no need to add any comments to this screen after the video has finished.
- Do not necessarily change "firm"/"company"/"business" to "organisation" – stick with whatever is in the audio. If it's not used in the audio, default to "organisation" unless it applies only to a for-profit company.
- Use %, not percent or per cent
