SecurityUserReset

A new security light user permission group exists to grant reset abilities only

As of GoRev 2024.08.22 a new security permission exists called SecurityUserReset. This permission grants the ability to perform a reduced set of user management functions while restricting any ability to assign actual permissions to users.

It can be granted by adding the Security User Reset permission to any Facility as shown below. It only requires grant on a single facility and will allow the user to then utilize the functions shown below on ANY user.

The below functionalities will be made accessible to a user assigned the Security User Reset permission

Reset Password: Issues a new random temporary password to the user via email. User will be prompted to reset password upon logon.

Clear Authentication Secret: Allows reset of the users 2fa token. User will then be able to setup a new token upon logon (if your server is set to required 2fa the user will be forced to do this upon the next logon)

Challenge Authenticator: Allows you to request a 2fa token from the user while you are on the phone with them. Input into this area in GoRev and validate the 2fa token.

Disable: Disables the user's GoRev access. They will no longer be able to logon and will receive a message indicating this user has been disabled. This will show Enable if the user is currently disabled and will allow for re-enabling a disabled user.

Send Invite: Issues an email to the user with their initial logon information (the file they will need to configure their initial GoRev launcher)

They will also be able to alter the users information such as first name, last name, phone, email.

They will be able to see permissions assigned but will not be able to change any permissions.
