Darwin How-To

After deal has been loaded in CDK you will utilize your tablet for Darwin to pitch F&I products follow the steps below. This steps will not change between vehicle's. The only thing that will change between deals is the available products.

  1. Click on dashboard after logging into Darwin to access the product menu

2. Then enter your deal number in the deal search tab. YOU MUST "F3" SAVE OUT OF THE DEAL IN CDK FOR THIS TO WORK PROPERLY!

3. When the deal has loaded you will see your customer and deal information on the left side of the screen. With the optional products shown on the right.

4. Then go through all available products and rate out utilizing the blue rate button next to each product. Note the drop down available on a few of the products and make sure on that "Carefree Paint Protection" you switch to "Permaplate" as that is what we sell. This can be seen below. When rating out "Road Hazard Tire & Wheel" make sure to select the options that the contract code ends in "21" also see below photos

5. Once your menu is complete you will go to fi.darwinautomotive.com on your Ipad to open the screen seen below which will allow you to connect the PC to your Ipad.

6 . Once opened on your Ipad you will go to the presentation tab to select your Ipad. (If you are virtually signing you will select connect to customer and select email or text to send them a link. Once the customer opens it you will see their device name register. The following steps won't change besides that.)

7. Once you know what device to connect to you will select either your smart packet 2 or smart packet 4. This are your 2 and 4 column menus. You will use these to pitch your products. If a customer is opting for a package you can have them select below the applicable column and sign. The customer can customize there package my adding or deleting from the drivers needs analysis column. See below for the 2 and 4 column layouts.

8. Once you have completed this section you will select Final Acceptance. Where all accepted contracts can be found on the left side. This is a good time for a final pass on products and one last upsell. Have them sign at the bottom

  1. Once you are done you must click "Apply Signature" to apply signaures to the customer contracts that populate.

  1. The final form that needs signing in Darwin is the F&I Product Disclosure. You will go the forms and stips page and click the blue plus sign next to the line that says Programmed Forms and select the disclosure. You will then click push to customer for the customer to review the document and then select customer E-sign for have the customer sign the form. See image below for step by step

11. Once signed you can click the Send to DMS button located in the top right and proceed to contracting for a finance and lease deal or form printing if a cash deal.
