Air Heater Instrumentation Installation
Supplies Needed.
1x 30" Deep Unistrut
1x 47" Deep Unistrut
1x 90" Shallow Unistrut
2x IFM AL1420 IO-Link Master
1x IFM AL2605 IO-Link Hub
4x IFM PN2299 Pressure sensors
1x IFM E30391 IO-Link Display
Roll of .25" Poly tubing
4x Straight .25" push to connect poly tube fittings.
4x Elbow Swivel .25" push to connect fittings.
3x Strands of Strut Covers
11x M12 A coded connector
1x Roll of IO-Link cable.
Mounting the Unistrut
Mount 90" Shallow Unistrut on the bolts that are connecting the top of the AH to the bottom portion of the AH. As shown in the picture below.
Mount the 47" Deep Unistrut vertically as illustrated in the picture below, with the X's marking the connection points where the strut is mounted to. The top X is bolted onto the strut protruding out from the AH. the bottom X is tac welded onto the 30" Unistrut. The other 30" deep Unistrut is mounted horizontally (the shorter blue line), the X's are both representing where it is bolted to the Unistrut previously there.
Mounting Masters/ Hubs
Mount both masters (IFM AL1420) and Hub (IFM AL2605) on 47" Unistrut evenly spaced apart, place strut covers in each gap but compensate for wire that need to be ran below as shown in pictures below.
Mounting pressure sensors/ poly tubing
Mount all 4 pressure sensors (IFM PN2299) on the top horizontal piece of strut that is already on the AH. The pressure sensors need to be evenly apart (5") with strut covers between each as shown in picture. Poly tubing should be run from the pressure sensor using the straight push to connect fitting and run from the corresponding pressure sensor to it proper test point with the elbow 90 push to connect fitting showed in the second picture. Each connection has a corresponding connection that it goes to as shown in the two pictures. the CF goes to the Combustion filter located underneath all the equipment on the AH.
Display for pressure sensors.
Mount display on the uni strut on the right side of the control cabinet, it will be protruding from the AH. Use a L bracket to mount the display, as shown in the picture below.
Clean/ wiring
Make sure to zip tie all loose hanging wires/ poly tubing (As shown) and to apply strut covers to all exposed pieces of strut (as shown). Use corresponding wiring schematic to see where to land each wire. Make sure to label as extensively as possible on wires and instruments.
