Connecting to STA WiFi Portal
*IMPORTANT: If you were supplied a device by the school division, your device is already automatically configured to connect to its appropriate network. Do not make any changes to any network settings. If something is not working for you, contact the IT HelpDesk
FOR ALL PERSONAL DEVICES
- Connect to STA-WiFi Portal
- Enter the password: STAthunder
- The following browser page should automatically pop up. If not, scan the QR code below:
- If you cannot scan the QR code, open a web browser and navigate to http://c.ecsrd.ca (ensure you are typing http:// and NOT https://). to force the below Captive Portal Page.
Note: To verify if you are successfully connected and registered on the portal navigate to Connect (ecssd.ca)
- Once done with the above steps, you will see a loading page or the browser's tab will change to Authentication Successful as the title/label. You may then test internet connectivity.
NOTES: If this is your first time to register your device, please ensure to follow the steps outlined above. There is a chance that you may be able to use Google Services, but you are not fully authenticated, so you are limited to searching and some services.
For STAFF ONLY: This requires you to have your Google Account (with Evergreen credentials) to be enrolled to the 2-step verification and have it TURNED ON. Please contact Helpdesk if you need assistance setting this up.
Chromebook users: Make sure to sign in with your Evergreen accounts NOT with your personal accounts
