Sales Tax Exemption Certificate
A Sales Tax Exemption Certificate is used when purchasing goods or services directly from vendors on behalf of The New School. The form enables the university to make tax-free purchases that would normally be subject to sales tax.
Accessing the Certificate

To access the form online:
- Log in to My New School using your SSO credentials.
- In the Pages section of the navigation bar, click on Support Resources > Administrative Resources.
- In the General Resources section of the page, click on the link for Sales Tax Exemption Certificate to review this card and download the form online.
Form Instructions
- Check the appropriate box to indicate if this is a single purchase certificate or a blanket certificate.
- Complete the form sections:
- Name of seller
- Street address
- City
- State
- Zip code
