Sales Tax Exemption Certificate

A Sales Tax Exemption Certificate is used when purchasing goods or services directly from vendors on behalf of The New School. The form enables the university to make tax-free purchases that would normally be subject to sales tax.


Accessing the Certificate

To access the form online:

  1. Log in to My New School using your SSO credentials.
  2. In the Pages section of the navigation bar, click on Support Resources > Administrative Resources.

  3. In the General Resources section of the page, click on the link for Sales Tax Exemption Certificate to review this card and download the form online.

Form Instructions

  1. Check the appropriate box to indicate if this is a single purchase certificate or a blanket certificate.
  2. Complete the form sections:
    1. Name of seller
    2. Street address
    3. City
    4. State
    5. Zip code
