How to add an asset into Asset Tiger

Steps to Add an Asset in Asset Tiger:
- Login to Asset Tiger using your assigned username and password.
- From the left-hand panel, select assets, and then ‘Add an Asset’. You may also select add an asset at the top of the page.
- You should now be on the add an asset page, you may now begin entering all the relevant information specific to the asset being added.
- In the location details, for the district dropdown; select Milwaukee Public School,
- For department select MPS,
- Choose the appropriate site for your specific school,
- For the location, set the appropriate funding source for that asset, for instance if you would like to add a Title I asset, for mother of Good Counsel: Choose Mother of Good Counsel TI. If you want it as an ESSER choose Mother of Good Counsel ESSER and so on.
- Next in the location text field, give the specific location where the device will be stored.
- Location format “Room ___ - (Common name)”
- Examples:
- “Room 141 – Grade 5”·
- “Room 24A – Science Room”·
- “Room K42 – Rectory – Underneath the stairs”
- In the asset detail section, complete the required fields for description by leaving a brief description for the asset being added.
- You should also complete the required asset tag I.D field by enter the appropriate asset tag i.d. If the asset does not have an asset tag i.d., use the auto fill button to add a unique identifier to the asset so it can stored in the data base.
- You should then proceed to the rest of the section that pertains to the asset being added.
- Be sure to fill in the MPS i.d field, the MPS i.d should be the same as the asset tag i.d. even if an auto asset i.d. was used.
- In the purchase detail section, enter all known information for each field pertaining to the asset.
- Lastly, review all the asset information entered above and click submit to add your new asset.
- Once you click submit, you can choose to view the new asset by clicking list of assets page.
- As a review you should now be able to add an asset in Asset Tiger.
