How to Add a Judgment to the Court Application

This document is designed to walk you through how to add a new judgment type to the court application.

You will need access to System - Customize – Judgments. This is an assigned role based on User role.

From the court main menu select System - Customize – Judgments.

The current judgments in the system are displayed on the screen.

Enter the following items for the new judgment to be added:

  • Code – Up to 5 characters
  • Description – Judgment name (will be displayed in dropdown lists)
  • DPS Reporting – If applicable, select what category to report violation to DPS
  • OMNI Disposition – If applicable, select what disposition to report violation to OMNI
  • OCA Disposition – Not applicable, OCA Disposition is set up in System Conf
  • Allow a time payment fee – Check if a time payment fee should be added for this judgment type
  • Allow a warrant – Check if a warrant could be issued for this judgment type
  • Is a final judgment – Check if this is a final judgment on a case (this will determine when a case populates in the e-judgment screen)
  • Is compliance dismissal – Check if judgment is for a compliance dismissal case (if checked this judgment will show as an option when setting a case for compliance dismissal)

When you add a new Judgment to the court system you must assign the judgment to an OCA Report disposition line, if applicable. See - How to Set Up the OCA Report Tab in System Configuration

You must have Author or Collection Owner permission to create Guru Cards. Contact your team's Guru admins to use this template.
