3. Configuring Roles

Role

Introduction

Roles can be used to flexibly group enterprise members across departments and functions, and can be used for dynamic selection of functions such as persons in charge.

How to add a role

Roles can be added through the following path: Address Book → Roles → Add New Role → Add Members.

Scenes to be used

Let's consider the person in charge of a process node as an example, such as dealing with company personnel changes. If every personnel change necessitates adjustments to all processes involving the employee, the workload can become overwhelming. Through the role feature in the address book, the person in charge can be swiftly adjusted.

For instance, by assigning the person in charge of the "Financial Node" to the [Finance] role, any personnel changes in the finance department only require adjustments to the members under this role. This eliminates the need to modify the process configuration for all financial approval processes, ensuring the normal operation of the processes.

Precautions

  • Roles have no hierarchical relationships and are independent of the enterprise structure.
  • Only administrators with address book management rights can add, modify, and delete roles.
