How to Age an Account in Utility Billing

Objective: To ensure the account balance is up to date and showing balanced in all 3 columns as it should, you can age the account.

Path: Utility Billing > Service Accounts > Select the Account > Select the Transaction tab on the account at a glance screen

Once on the account’s transactions screen, hit alt + y on your keyboard. This will bring up the Rebuild Account/Service Balances and Report screen

  • Aging Date will auto-populate
  • Print Reports = Yes or No (The report will show up in your spooler)
  • Method 1 will automatically be used by filling in the account number

Select Submit twice to except the parameters

Click Refresh and the transactions screen will now be up to date.

All 3 boxes shown below should always show the same amount.
