1: Patient Registration within GoRev by a Provider

In GoRev, a patient can be registered for a patient portal by provider staff within the Patient Overview window. Begin by navigating to the Patient Overview window, click on the "Patient Portal" button, then "Register Portal Account".image.png

The Patient Portal window should now be visible. At this point, please enter the patient's email address in order to send a patient portal invite via email. Then select "Send Welcome Message".

In the instance that a patient wishes to be contacted via text message, please enter the patients phone number into the "Phone 1" field present in the Patient Overview window. Then, select the "Mobile" checkbox. image.png

At that point, open the Patient Portal menu and select the "Send an SMS instead of an email." checkbox and select the "Send Welcome Message" button to successfully send an invite via SMS.

Lastly, you will notice a box that says Enroll in e-statements. This option, if selected, will enroll the patient in paperless billing. The patient will receive statements via email or text should the email fail.image.png

2: Communicating Electronically with Patients

Configuring Preferred Patient Communication Methods

Setting a specific patient's communication preferences can be done via the Contact section in the Patient Overview window. There are 4 sets of communication preferences each having an email and text setting available.

  • Advertising if activated, patients will be included in your GoRev initiated advertising campaigns. This is useful for situations such as announcing a new service line to all patients or announcing the addition of a new physician to the group or a new service location.
  • Billing if activated, patients will be able to communicate over the Billing channel for your location.
  • Clinical if activated, patients will be able to communicate over the Clinical channel for your location.
  • Registration if activated, patients will be able to communicate over the Registration channel for your location.

Note: It is important that you obtain proper consent from patients before you enable any digital communication preferences.

Sending a message

Communicating with a patient electronically is a very simple process within GoRev. Simply add a comment to a patient account by utilizing the Note function within the Patient Overview window. Then, select the "Message Patient" checkbox as shown below. You will also have the ability to attach files to the patient message. In order to do so, first upload the file to the File Management section. Then, select the linked file you wish to attach to the message before selecting "Submit Comment".

The Portal Inbox will function as your central area to see all incoming and outgoing patient messages. This area is where your various teams will need to review patient messages in order to ensure timely communication with patients.image.png

3: Configuring Portal Settings

As a provider, you will also have the ability to configure Portal settings. In order to access the Patient Portal settings tab, navigate to the admin tab and click on "Configurations". From here, select the "Locations" option from this drop-down menu.

The logo, as shown below, is what will be present on your patient portal. You can change this logo by clicking on the magnifying glass and selecting a new logo file. You can, also, download your existing logo at anytime by clicking on the save button just above the magnifying glass.

The Patient Portal tab will allow you to configure various settings impacting what patients see in their “Your Locations / Facilities” section.

  • Location Display Name Entering information into this field will override the location name you have saved in GoRev's General tab in Locations. This is useful for when you do not want patients seeing your company's actual legal name.
  • Pre-Registration Link This link is configured for you by GoRev support. The Pre-registration link is your encrypted direct patient online registration link. You can, also, utilize this link to post to your website.
  • Scheduling Link This link is configured for you by GoRev support. The scheduling link is your encrypted direct patient online scheduling link. The difference between this link and the pre-registration link is this scheduling link will direct patient's to your live GoRev schedule and allow them to self-service by selecting an appointment time within your configured “Public Use” block of time.
  • Contact Phone The contact phone is the phone number you want patients to call if they have any questions. This is typically your main location's phone number.
  • Twitter The Twitter field is the link to your main Twitter account used for your social media presence.
  • Facebook The Facebook field is the link to your main Facebook website used for your social media presence.
  • Your Website This field is the link to your main website.
