How to use and/or customized shortcut keys in OpenRoads Designer Connect Edition. There are three major options.
default short cut keys
Press the F11 key, then type a Question Mark. This will open the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog. It lists all the default AccuDraw short cut keys in OpenRoads Designer. The tool bar at the top of the dialog can be used to create custom shortcut keys. Watch the following YouTube video for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSgREip1sXE
Ribbon Position Mapping
Go to File>>Settings>>User>>Preferences
The Preferences dialog will open. Go to the Position Mapping category. Check on Use Position Mapping.
Next, go to the Ribbon category. Set the Position-Mapped Groups drop down to Menu.
Click OK at the bottom of the dialog. Now, each tool group in each ribbon is mapped to a keyboard key. The assigned key is shown in the tool group name.
When the assigned key is pressed, the tool group menu appears at the tip of the mouse cursor. Each tool in the menu is also mapped to a keyboard key. The tool can either be selected from the menu with the mouse cursor or by pressing the next assigned key. For example, to activate the Construct Circular Fillet tool, type R61.
Type "ctrl F" to save settings or click on Save Settings in the Quick Access Toolbar.
Enable v8i short cut keys
Open the Task Navigation menu. This can be found just right of the Workspace drop-down menu. (Note: It does not matter what workspace is active.)
The following options will appear, then select "Dialog".
The Task Navigation menu will auto-populate on the left side of the screen, similar to how it looked in MicroStation V8i.
Go to File>>Settings>>User>>Preference>>Position Mapping.
Enable the box: Use Position Mapping.
Under Attribute & Primary, change "AS" into "TD".
Under Tasks & Ribbon, change "QWERTDFGZXCV" into "QWERASFGZXCV".
Click "OK".
The keyboard short cuts will auto-populate in the Task Navigation menu.
Type "ctrl F" to save settings or click on Save Settings in the Quick Access Toolbar.
