Audit Trail Notes
Every report page in Aspire and Prosper report sets have alphanumeric symbols the top-right. Those alphanumeric symbols are audit trails designed to help you navigate through the report. The symbols in the top-right refer to the audit for that page. Symbols at the ends of columns and rows on various pages refer to the page you can go to for more information regarding the value(s) in that row or column.
Audit trail notes are a priceless tool when trying to understand a clients' results, especially for complex scenarios.
Tips:
Even if a page is not included in the report it will still be referenced in the audit trail. This way you can know to generate a larger report if a value comes into question.
When presenting to the client, you can choose to exclude the audit trail notes. Some users prefer to exclude them in these cases so their clients do not get confused by references to pages that are not in the report.
When reviewing reports before presenting, we recommend including the audit trails even for a smaller report. This way you still have a reference if something strange appears on the report.
On their own, an Entire report set is overwhelming. Take advantage of the PDF bookmarks and the audit trails to jump through the reports quickly (seeing bookmarks may differ between PDF viewers).
If a value has no audit reference, that means it is either a calculated value, or it is tied directly to an input. If you have trouble figuring out a value, please feel free to contact support at support@moneytree.com, or call 877-421-9815 ext 0.
Example
The Cash Flow Illustration report in Prosper provides a look at clients' annual income compared to their total expenses to provide insight into how much extra cash they reinvest, or how much they need to withdrawal from assets.
B7 is the unique identifier for the Cash Flow Illustration report. If you see another page in a Prosper report refer to B7 then you know to check this page.
B8 seen at the bottom of the "Living Expenses & Taxes" column refers to the Annual Expense Illustration report. If you look at that report page you will see a breakdown of the clients' expenses across various categories.
As you can see, the Annual Expense Illustration also includes references to additional pages. This way you can continue through the report for an even greater breakdown of values.
