Process: Update Wrap to siding

Context: As of 10/7 we can only update wrap to siding. We cannot update other material types to siding. The customer will need to use Design Pro, Design Studio, or Instant Design to visualize non-existent materials on a property.


Update Wrap to Siding Example:

There are scenarios where a facet may not be clearly captured in a photo for ops to accurately depict it within the 3D model. In these cases, there is either a partial or a complete lack of a full, unobstructed depiction of the area. When ops cannot see fully see it within the images, they won’t be able to update these areas without some additional input/context from the customer. When OPS cannot fully confirm what is shown in the photos it will appear on the model as "wrap" and be listed as "unknown" in the PDF. Pending the users ability to provide additional images or measurement information for these areas, these areas can be reprocessed to update the wrapped area to the correct texture in both the 3D model and measurements. In most cases, a user will request for wrap to be updated to siding.

Workflow:

Step 1:

Confirm with the customer their exact request. Make sure to view the 3D model with them to make note of any specifics. For example, is the siding horizontal or vertical? These specifics are important to note and explain to OPS for updating.

Step 2:

Pull up the job in Rails and go to ManOWar. Check the site the job is assigned to (HU, HP, HG). Copy the Manowar link for the job.

Step 3:

Post in the Hover International Channel the job was built in.*

Post in the correct slack channel the following:

@here (manowar link) Special Request: Please update all wrap to siding

Step 4:

Once the site confirms (normally with a check mark emoiji on your thread) Go to the job page in rails. You will see a button at the top called "Request Corrections" Click this button and then a new text box will appear. Type in the same message you wrote in the slack thread. This will push the job into "verifying" state in ManOWar so the modeler can make the requested corrections.

Step 5:

Let the requesting user know the job is being updated.

PLEASE SNOOZE REQUEST FOR 30 MINUTES. Then, once the case reopens, confirm the correct changes were made by viewing the 3D model yourself. Once you confirm it all looks correct, then let the customer know their job is updated and ready to go!
