How to create an applicant position in the ATS

Learn how to create a position in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) that applicants can then apply to. Creating a position takes mere minutes and you can use an artificial intelligence (AI) powered job description generator to get a description that pulls from industry best practices.

Create an applicant position in the ATS
- Log into AllPay. From the dashboard, open the Onboard menu and from the Applicants column select Positions.
- On the Positions tab, click on the Add New button in the top right of the Applicant Positions table.
- Fill out the appropriate information in the Applicant Position section and select a Location(s), then click on the Generate Job Description button.
AllianceHCM tip: If you want to write the job description from scratch or paste in a description from another source, click on the Edit Job Description link. - In the Generate Job Description pop-up, add any desired information to inform the AI-generated description then click the Generate button.
- Make any edits you'd like to the Generated Job Description window and then click the Accept button.
- Click on the Save button at the top of the Applicant Positions table to save all of the details on your Applicant Position.
- You can now share and post the position so that applicants can apply to it.
Open the Onboard menu and select Positions
Click Add New
Fill out the Applicant Position and Locations sections and click Generate Job Description
In the Generate Job Description pop-up, add information to inform the AI-generated description then click Generate
Make any edits to the generated job description and click Accept
Click Save at the top of the Applicant Positions table
