Retirement Savings Contribution Change
Eligible employees may make voluntary contributions to the Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan beginning the first of the month following their hire date. You can make new TDA enrollments and changes to existing elections at any time through MyDay, including if you previously declined automatic enrollment, by following the below instructions. Your enrollment or change will take effect in the pay period following the date you submit the benefit event through MyDay.
Step 1: Click the Global Navigation Menu icon in the top left corner.
Step 2: Click the “Benefits” icon.
Step 3: Select “Benefits” in the Change Column.
Step 4: You will be brought to the following screen. Read the Help Text instructions toward the right carefully!
Step 5: Select “Retirement Savings Change - Employee Contribution” from the menu.
Step 6: Enter today's date (or a date in the future) as the Benefit Event Date (all other fields will populate automatically) then Submit.
Step 7: After you submit the event, you will receive a pop up to open and complete the event. Click Open.
Step 8: Click Let's Get Started.
Step 9: Select Enroll/Manage under either the 403b - TIAA TDA 3% Auto Enroll or 403b - TIAA TDA (if you wish to contribute an amount other than 3%, you will need to select the 403b - TIAA Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA). Note: These are the same plans, however, the TDA 3% Auto Enroll allows you to elect a percentage of 3% only. You can select one or the other but not both.
Step 10: Once you've selected either the 403b - TIAA TDA 3% Auto Enroll or 403b - TIAA TDA, you will be taken to the plans available screen. Click the circled checkbox to Select/Waive and then click Confirm and Continue.
Step 11: You will be taken to the Contribute screen. Once you've selected the amount you would like to contribute, click Save.
If you've selected 403b - TIAA TDA 3% Auto Enroll you will be taken to the Contribute screen where you will have to enter in a Contribution (%) of 3 then Save.
If you've selected 403b - TIAA TDA you will be taken to the Contribute screen where you will have to select a Contribution
You will receive a pop up that your changes were updated, however, you are not finished with the event.
Step 12: Scroll to the bottom of the Change in Employee HSA Contribution Screen and click Review and Sign to finalize the changes/event.
Step 13: You will be taken to a summary page. Review the benefit elections and If you need to make a change click Cancel (or you can Save for Later and access the event from your MyDay inbox). Otherwise, scroll to the bottom of the screen, review the Electronic Signature, click the "I Accept" checkbox, then Submit.
Once you've reached the Submitted screen, you are done. You can select View Benefits Statement if you'd like to print a copy of the confirmation for your records.
