Restricting Orderable Lab Tests By Location

This guide will discuss how to select which tests a specific location can and can't order from your complete lab testing compendium. Common use case scenarios include setting up a reduced orderable set of tests for a specific location. For example, you may want to only allow ordering of a more advanced opiate confirmation panel for a select set of locations.

Some locations may need full access to only your chemistry assays while another may only need toxicology screens and confirms.

You can also save a specific set of tests as an order


Activating Orderable Tests Restrictions

Navigate to Admin --> Configuration --> Locations --> Select the specific location you want to restrict orderable tests on. --> Click into the Lab Options Tab --> Check the Restrict Orderable Tests box.

You should now see the image.png activate. Click this button and move on to the next steps in this guide.

You will now be presented with a complete lab test compendium as is configured in your environment. Check on the full panels or individual tests you want to make orderable. Once finished click Save Tests. You have now restricted this location to be able to order the tests you have selected.

If you would like to save the specific selections into a template click the image.pngbutton and name your template as shown below. Click Save.

Once you have saved a template you can apply it to any other location by clicking the image.png and opening the saved template.
