Update Your Guru Profile
Guru accounts are automatically generated based on employment activity in MyDay. New faculty and staff are generally granted a Guru account within 2 days of beginning work, once all of their related job information has been updated. By default, permissions are based on the employee's Employee Type and Supervisory Organization in MyDay.
Some general information is passed from MyDay over to Guru:
- First and last name
- NetID email address (not alias)
- Profile picture
- Job title
- Team
- Work location
- Start date
- Manager
- Direct reports (if applicable)
Guru also allows users to customize their profile by adding the below content:
- About me
- What I'm working on
- Best way to work with me
Update Your Profile
- Select your profile avatar in the upper left-hand corner of the interface to reveal the settings menu (⚙).
- Click My Profile.
- Next to your avatar, click the pencil icon.
- From here you may update the content or enable keyboard shortcuts.
- Click Save.
