How to create Custom Questions on the Partner Network

What are Custom Questions?

• These are questions that you can create on Partner Network, which can be added to Opportunity Adverts to be posed to applicants as part of the application process
• These are additional questions that you might want to ask applicants, to help with your shortlisting process

Some Tips to think about when creating custom questions?

1. You can choose the format in which you would like applicants to respond to your custom question(s). There are 6 options in which applicants can respond to a custom question:
1. Short answer text
2. Paragraph text answer
3. Multiple choice
4. Drop down
5. Yes/ No
6. Email address
2. Remember to phrase your questions in such a way that is simple and easy to understand
3. Remember that more often than not, our work seekers do not have prior work experience. This might be wortwhile considering when creating custom questions
4. We recommend not asking more than 4 - 5 custom questions

How to create custom questions

Login in to your profile on the SAYouth Partner Network, once logged in, click on on your Home landing page to create a new opportunity advert which will take you to the custom questions sections after you have filled in the adverts details and requirements.

To create custom questions on an opportunity advert which is posted life on sayouth.mobi, click on edit button on your opportunity advert and go under the questions section on your opportunity ad as shown above.

Before creating your custom questions you will need to choose the format in which you would like the work-seeker to answer.

Once you have selected the format best suited to answer your custom question we will ask you to answer a few more questions to help you best set up your custom question.

Type in your question and select

All custom question that have created will appear numbered on the landing page. You can order your custom questions according to how the sequence on how you would like work seekers to answer them. To do this click on 'Edit Question to change the order.

Once the custom question has been added you can select the drop down next to 'Select Action' to View, Edit or Delete your custom questions.

Please note you can only delete a custom question if you have not linked them to an opportunity advert.
