Exporting Literacy Assessment Results (PowerSchool Admin)
The purpose of this guide is to allow school Administrators a quick method of exporting the K-4 Literacy Assessment results for all reporting periods. The current assessment being used is Fountas & Pinnell and the results are entered into an English Language Arts class standard (LIT.FP).
- Once you are logged into the Admin side of PowerSchool, add a group of students to the Current Student Selection list on the Start Page for whom you would like to export information for.
Examples: - A specific selection of students; or
- A specific class section of students; or
- A specific grade level of students; or
- A range of grade levels of students; etc.
- Click the down arrow on the bottom right of the Current Student Selection list and choose Export Using Template from the Export group.
Example: - From the Export Using Template page, select the following options:
- Type of Export: Students
- Export template?: Fountas & Pinnell Results
- For Which Records?: The selected "xxx'" students
- Click Submit.
- The report will begin compiling and may take anywhere from 10 seconds to a couple of minutes depending on the number of students you have selected.
- After the report has been compiled it will either automatically download into your downloads folder or it will ask you where you would like it saved, depending on your browser settings.
- The file will download as a .text file which you can open with Microsoft Excel.
